After being tired of admiring the beautiful tulips and flowers, we had our break and lunch at their cafeteria. We finished our garden tour around 2pm, then we traveled to our next destination, Volendam.

Along the way to Volendam, there were floods at the roadsides. When we almost reach our destination, we saw peoples  were walking on the hill besides the road. We stopped our car at roadside and climbed up the hill and found this spectacular view! It was just so beautiful, we wished we can stayed a bit longer, but it was chilly and strong wind, we had to get back into our car after some photoshots. The sea level was relatively high, we finally believed that quarter of Netherlands is below sea level.

We bought some fries and seafood from the food truck, we enjoyed our meal while looking at the sea gulls and listened to the waves. Then we go walked around the town and found a supermarket. Luckily we able to go shop for groceries before they close, we bought some groceries such as potatoes, carrots, berries and etc. The groceries were cheap, we can save a lot by cooking by ourselves.

Tips for parent: The weather in Europe can change anytime, even during the springtime. It is recommended to bring along wind breaker, in case it became windy and chilly.

This blog was started when I got Cookie (Golden retriever) into my house, initially is all about pets and then it extended to talk all about my life, my daughters Chestnut and Jane, my travel experiences, recipes and my passion towards art and crafts. So it kinds of "Rojak" blog, that tells about everything that I love and experience. And I'm happy with my "rojak" life.
